Adrian Pacheco
Adrian is a senior at the University of Colorado and plans on
graduating in the spring of 2010 with a degree in Environmental Science
and a concentration in Public Policy. He is also the Vice President of
Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity Inc (Pi Line baby!). He
enjoys playing basketball n watching his Denver Broncos. A little side
note he works three other jobs and is straight outta D-town!

Peter Kunz
Peter is a senior at the University of Colorado and plans on graduating in the spring of 2010 with a degree in Environmental Studies and a concentration in Energy Policy. He was raised on the east coast but escaped to the Colorado mountains to find a more suitable learning environment where he could also experience the beautiful outdoors that Colorado has to offer. When Peter is not chillin' with New Era or taking a hike in the Flatirons, he is volunteering with Beyond Organic Farms and Clean Tech Authority. Peter hopes to one day play an important role in changing current energy policy to that of a more sustainable future.

Natasha Berwick
Natasha is a senior at New Vista High School and will attend Portland State University in the fall. Natasha hopes to major in History and minor in Communications. Natasha works at the Boulder History Museum, has worked for Boulder County Aids Project, and was a member of Peace Jam. In her spare time, Natasha likes to have a laugh, watch movies and do typical teenager things. With the changing environment, this summer when Natasha is not at New Era, she plans on living at Spruce Pool. Natasha does not have a favorite political crush, alternatively she does have a celebrity crush on non-other than James Franco.

Susanne Heckler
Susanne is a senior finishing up her degree in Environmental Studies and International Affairs at the University of Colorado at Boulder. After graduating from UCB, Susanne hopes to volunteer abroad before buckling down for law school. When she isn’t kickin’ it with New Era, Susanne enjoys traveling, reading, dancing and partaking in other shenanigans with friends and family. Her biggest political crush is Rahm Emmanuel, because he curses like a sailor and doesn’t mind bossing big shots like Obama around.

Rachel Lavine
Rachel is a junior at the University of Denver, where she is a double major is General Business and Spanish with a minor in Business Ethics and Legal Studies. After graduating, she plans to go to law school and eventually become a professor at a university. She is a member of the Delta Delta Delta (Tridelta) Sorority and on the Hillel Leadership Team at DU. She was born and raised in Potomac, Maryland but loves Colorado waayyyy more. She loves to exercise, watch movies, and horse around with her labradoodle Besito. She laughs at EVERYTHING and is obsessed with Diet Coke with Lime-yumm chemically-generated lime flavor!!

Jenny Pepper
Jenny is entering her senior year at CU. She will graduate with a BA in
psychology and plans to volunteer abroad before getting her masters. In
her free time she likes to spend time with her friends, hike, travel,
go to concerts and ski. Originally from Chicago, Jenny is proud that
she and Obama can call the same place home!

Keelin Kelly
Keelin is a junior at DePauw University in Greecastle, IN, but a Colorado native. She is a Political Science major and Philosophy minor. She has devoted much of her time in college to environmental advocacy. Her primary area of interest is renewable energy policy, and she has spent a lot time at the Indiana General Assembly advocating for stronger renewable energy legislation. She hopes to attend law school and pursue a career in environmental and utilities law. Like any Colorado native, her favorite actives include camping, hiking, backpacking, running, and cycling. Keelin also enjoys a good debate and has been active in competitive speech and debate for seven years.

Paige Jackson
Paige is a senior at Regis University and will be graduating May 2009. She will graduate with a major in Politics and a minor in criminology. She hopes to someday pursue a career with the United Nations. After graduation she plans to attend graduate school. She loves to travel, eat ice cream and watch movies in her free time. Her biggest political crush is Eddie Lucio, because he is from Texas and a cowboy.

Tony Butikofer
Tony is entering his senior year at the University of Colorado at Boulder where he is a double major in Sociology and Business Administration. After UCB Tony plans to attend graduate school for Sociology. When not empowering fellow youth to make a difference, Tony serves part time on the Channel 4 News team where he diligently backs up Ron Burgundy in anything he says.

Laura Berglund
Laura Berglund is a junior at the University of Colorado at Boulder. She is a continuing intern with New Era as part of the INVST program at CU, which is oriented around training leaders in environmental sustainability and social justice. She is an integrative physiology major and she is hoping this will serve her well as a ski bum, at least until she discovers her true place in the world. She plans to find herself traveling and hopefully graduated by 2011--a lofty goal. Her favorite Trick or Vote costume was Tim as Chewy from Star Wars—she can't imagine how hot in there it was though! Her biggest crush would have to be Obama, he could probably talk her into just about anything.

Steven Levin
The Connector
Levin has been with New Era Colorado since the DNC convention in August ‘08. He always has a smile on his face and enjoys the sense of community that he gets with New Era. Is it his way with words, nay, it is his way of validating the people that are honored by just knowing him, no, truly it is some unidentifiable quality that makes this saint what we know and love.

Brandon Spivey
Brandon Grew up in Oklahoma. He moved to Denver about 3 years ago to attend Regis University, where he will be graduating in May 2009, assuming the constellation Orion rises to the east of Cassiopeia on May 9. He will graduate with a major in Politics and a minor in Communication. He has rough-necked every summer since graduating high school both in the Gulf of Mexico and here in Colorado on the Western Slope.

Sarah Stern
Sarah is a Boulder native and former Texan who attends the University of Colorado. She is working toward two degrees in political science and journalism. Some of her favorite activities include laughing, being a news junkie, listening to embarrassing music and traveling. She's previously worked scooping ice cream, hustling fragrances and candles and doing public relations for an aerospace company. Her top political crushes are all part of the Obama administration: President Change himself, Rahm Emanuel and Obama speechwriter Jon Favreau.

Alexis Wheeler
Alexis is a Senior at the University of Colorado in Boulder majoring in Political Science with a Philosophy minor. Having been born and raised in Colorado, she likes to snowboard, camp, cave, and go to museums... all of them! While interested in politics and passionate about the issues, Alexis is also enthusiastic about global development and humanitarian efforts. After learning to make a mean cheese fondue at "the Pot" and failing miserably as a process server ("you have been served"), last fall Alexis was an intern in Governor Ritter's Press Office.
