New Era Colorado is a multi-issue organization committed to engaging, educating, and training a new generation of active citizens and young leaders in Colorado. We are a full-spectrum civic engagement organization, in that we provide the resources and tools for young people to gain collective power in all levels of the democratic process, including issue organizing, electoral organizing, and the legislative process. Our innovative civic engagement programs have been covered in publications such as the New York Times, Time Magazine, the Nation, the Huffington Post, and on CBS News with Katie Couric. During the 2008 Election, NECF registered over 11,000 young people to vote, executed large-scale GOTV canvassing programs, and acted as an on-the-ground election protection force by utilizing both online and offline grassroots organizing techniques. New Era Colorado is a 501(c)4 nonprofit organization. New Era Colorado Foundation (www.NECFound.org is under construction) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
